Clara Harris

Clara M. Harris is the Owner/operator of CMH Consulting providing various services to the San Diego County area. These services include: Fair Housing Testing, Conflict Resolution, Education in Fair Housing Law, Race/Human Relations Education and Community Building. Peacemaking plays a central role in all her work.

Joined La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club in 1988 and served as President in 2001-2002. Served as Assistant Governor of the district in 2003-2004 and 2006 -2007. Currently holds the position of co-Chair of the Pathways to Peace Committee and Chair of the Family of Rotary Committee at the district level.

At the club level she is the Peace Chair and Family of Rotary Chair.

She holds a BA degree in Social Welfare and an MS degree in Counseling from San Diego State University.

She serves on various non-profit advisory boards and volunteers as time permits.

She was the Executive Director of Heartland Human Relations and Fair Housing Association for 19 years.

She worked collaboratively with local governments, law enforcement, education, faith groups and others to foster understanding between individuals and groups through education, mediation, and facilitation. She also worked with state and local authorities on cultural awareness and hate crime prevention and follow-up with victims of hate crimes.
