Originally trained as a nutritional scientist, Dr. Susanne B. Montgomery obtained further training from the University of Michigan as a social/behavioral epidemiologist and has many years of experience in funded and non-funded community-based participatory research (CBPR), working in partnership with hard-to-access populations. Through her research, she advocates for translating and applying research findings at the community level, and participates as a member of several area community coalitions, planning groups, advisory boards and boards of local CBOs.
