Mr. Latuperissa currently serves as the International Trade Administration -U.S. Commercial Service Director of the United States Department of Commerce in Ontario, California, the agency that promotes international trade for expansion and economic growth. He serves as a founding member/executive secretary for the California Inland Empire District Export Council, an Inland regional advisory group of business leaders that are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. 

His responsibility includes promoting regional business and international development, marketing of Riverside, San Bernardino and the Eastern part of Los Angeles. 

Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Commerce, he held the position as Head of Corporate Export-Import Operations for Hughes Aircraft Electronics, General Motors. 

His temporary assignments overseas includes acting Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan, acting Commercial Attaché for Belgium and Luxembourg, acting deputy Principal Commercial Officer, Toronto, Canada, advance team member for the Secretary of Commerce, during the 1994 Presidential Trade Mission to China and the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings in Jakarta, Indonesia. His previous assignments in finance were with the Veterans Administration and the Defense Logistics Agency. 

He’s U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Reconstruction & Stabilization, U.S. Civilian Response Corps, Boys Scout of America, and Rotary International. 

He’s fluent in three languages (Dutch, German, and Indonesian,) and holds a Master’s in International Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Redlands in California. 

Mr. Latuperissa received the International Trade Administration (ITA) Memorial Award and the ITA Bronze Medal for supporting underserved group from the Secretary of Commerce.
