Jean is currently a Peace Officer for District 1020 and is raising awareness of Peace and Conflict Resolution across Great Britain and Ireland where her passion is to develop the skills that young people need to allow them to make better life choices with confidence. She is a popular speaker at Rotary District Conferences not afraid to state the problems that young people face whilst inspiring Rotarians to do something about it. Her work of developing Peace and Conflict Resolution was recognised by RIBI when she received a Presidential Citation in 2012. She also became a Paul Harris Fellow for her contribution to developing Peace Strategies. Jean’s professional background was in Education as a headteacher and for the last two years prior to retirement as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors of schools in Scotland.
