Mark Ameli

Mark K. Ameli has been a practicing attorney since 1980. His practice is concentrated in the areas of business and corporate transactions and litigation, personal injuries as a result of defective products, vehicular collisions, slip and fall and industrial accidents.

Between 1994 and 2009, Mr. Ameli has served as a judge pro tem in the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has also been appointed as an arbitrator and mediator in the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Program for the Superior Courts of the State of California. In 2005, his law firm started a mediation division under the name Diversified Dispute Resolution (DDR). Mr. Ameli joined ADR Services, Inc. in 2015 as a full time mediator.

Mr. Ameli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of West Los Angeles. He has also completed various and multiple advanced mediation courses at Pepperdine University and at Harvard.

Mr. Ameli is an active member of California State Bar as well as several other Bar Associations. He is the Chair of the Section on Conflict Resolution of Beverly Hills Bar Association, a founding member and past President of Iranian American Lawyers Association, and a former Board Member of the Southern California Mediation Association.

Over the past three decades, Mr. Ameli has been involved in the resolution of thousands of cases as an attorney for a party, an arbitrator or a mediator. He is the past president of Rancho Park Rotary Club and has ongoing speaking engagements for a number of Rotary Clubs, dealing primarily with the causes of cross-cultural mediation and the prevention of gang violence. He is a Rotarian since 1991 and is the past president of Rancho Park Rotary Club. Presently he is an Assistant Governor and the Chair of the Peace and Conflict Resolution of Rotary District 5280.

Mr. Ameli has lectured on the issue of cross cultural negotiation at University of Southern California. He has also been approved as a provider by the State Bar of California to offer CLE seminars in Cross Cultural Negotiation and Mediation which satisfies the “Elimination of Bias” requirement. He has a particular concentration in mediating cross-cultural disputes, for which his Iranian-American background makes him especially effective.
