Sustainability Manager for the City of Palm Springs. Added over 30 electric vehicle charging stations in the City utilizing grant money for all projects. Specializes in climate adaptation with a focus on water conservation, waste reduction and local food production. Under Michele’s leadership the City has adopted a plastic bag ordinance, enacted over 200 desert landscape conversions, coordinated sustainability and health and wellness events raising over $1.5 million in funds for local charities and won several awards including the California Center for Sustainable Energy’s local government sustainability award.

Certificate in permaculture design from Cazadero California’s acclaimed Earth Activist Training course, years of experience educating children at schools and working on organic farms, 17 years educating the public about pesticides, recycling and protecting our forests.
