Mike Mercer serves as the Executive Director of the NW Earth Institute (NWEI).  NWEI has engaged more than 150,000 people in shared discovery and action toward a thriving future for all.  The Institute has an active presence in a variety of settings: Higher education, business, faith communities and neighborhoods. Mike and his team have worked with a variety of industry leaders on employee engagement efforts. Clients include: Intel, Bank of America, University of Michigan and University of Minnesota.

He is a board member for the Portland Downtown Rotary Club and worked with the club to build the first LEED platinum camping village in North America.

Mike and his partner, Laura, live in Portland, where he enjoys kayaking, cycling, living big in a small home and hanging out with his neighbors on the front porch.
