Jordan is a producer/choreographer/actress. Jordan’s dancing, choreography and acting have taken her around the world. She has worked in film, television, commercial, music video and concert works. Jordan is Artistic Director of Marinov Dance, which has performed her original work all over the country, including a recent commission at Loyola Marymount University. She has had the pleasure of working with Kathryn Bigelow for HBO to cast, choreograph and be in a yoga scene for an HBO pilot. Jordan recently appeared as a supporting actress in a Comedy Central Pilot and in a film called Without Meaning.
Marinov Dance, in collaboration with Bill Hayward (who has worked with everyone from Bob Dylan to Baryshnikov), created The Intimacies Project: a series of daring multi-media events about relationships and the impossibility of love. The Intimacies Project film was screened at Tribeca Grand in New York City during Fashion’s Night Out, earned a space grant from Chashama, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, The Fashion Center BID, and the Times Square Alliance to perform two live programs per day in NYC for two weeks. Marinov Dance was commissioned to set work and perform at the Rio Grande Theatre in New Mexico, performed in the Margulies Gallery in Miami for the Wynwood Art Festival and the Art Live Fair.
Jordan’s dancing, acting and choreography can also be seen in Hayward’s films Beauty Is No Show I & II and appears in a book the recently published entitled Chasing Dragons. She adjudicated a dance short film festival for the University of South Florida and choreographed a film called Dream of A Dance, directed by Jolie Oliver. She was hired to speak at her alma mater, Marymount Manhattan College about how to create a thriving dance company and owns Jordan Marinov Fitness, a high-end private fitness company. She has trained many celebrities including Natalie Portman, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Kathryn Bigelow, Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey Jr. and more in dance, yoga and training.
