Claes Nobel

Mr. Claes Nobel is a native of Sweden and a senior member of the famed Nobel family. As a passionate activist and advocate of Universal Peace, Environmental Sustainability and Earth Ethics Education, he works tirelessly in his mission to help save planet Earth and its people. Mr. Nobel drafted the historic "Nobel Laureates Declaration on the Survival of Mankind", signed by 78 Nobel Laureates advocating support for environmental protection and humanitarian leadership. He also authored the "Global Declaration of Earth Ethics," the basis for the NGO not-for-profit organization United Earth, which he founded in order to focus attention on such issues through the prestigious "Earth Prize Awards."

 

He advises spiritual, political, and economic leaders on preserving the earth and fostering peace, as well as working to help instill these ideals in youth through education and example. As Chairman and Founder of the National Society of High School Scholars, (www.nshss.org) he motivates and supports youth, worldwide.

 

As an environmentalist, humanitarian and businessman, Mr. Nobel is a champion of socially, globally and environmentally responsible businesses. As such, Mr. Nobel has traveled the world meeting with CEOs and entrepreneurs as well as policy makers, prime ministers and other dignitaries on behalf of responsible social and economic development. Mr. Nobel is a strong proponent of World Peace, as is evidenced by his Chairmanship of the Advisory Board of World Peace One-Ten and its ten-year Global Peace Initiative. As Co-Founder of the planned United Earth "World Peace University," to be built in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Mr. Nobel envisions universities worldwide to become Catalysts for Peace. Under the leadership of Mr. Nobel an "Earth Ethics Curriculum," is in the process of being developed for distribution to the educational facilities of the world.
