Peter Meisen is President of the Global Energy Network Institute (GENI), conducting research and education on the interconnection of electric networks between nations with an emphasis on tapping abundant renewable energy resources around the world.  The GENI Initiative has earned the endorsement of 7 Nobel Peace Laureates.  The strategy to "link renewables" is now embraced in such projects as: Connect the Americas 2022, East Africa Power Interconnection from Cairo to Capetown and the ASEAN Energy Plan.

Mr. Meisen has co-authored 25 reports for OECD countries on how to make the transition to 100% renewable energy:  Roadmaps to Renewables.  These reports give energy ministers and planners a guide to shift from fossil fuel to renewable energy, creating both domestic clean energy and jobs. 

He graduated from the University of California at San Diego, with an engineering degree in Applied Mechanics and Engineering Sciences.   For the past 30 years he has worked in applied engineering and sustainable development
